The key thing is not to give up. This wearing schedule is a guide to help you acclimate to the correctors safely and with a minimum of discomfort. It is typical for your feet to get a little sore and tender the first few days to a week. Remember your feet are adapting to the correctors. The bones, ligaments and muscles are shifting into their correct position and will help provide proper body alignment and posture. Some of us get used to the correctors in a week or two and others take three full months. Most of us are fully comfortable after 30 days or so. Do not participate in strenuous sports until all tenderness is gone and your feet are fully adjusted. You can increase or decrease the wearing time depending on how your feet feel. Listen to your feet talking to you, don't over do it! It took years of poor fitting footwear with inadequate support to cause your current pain, allow yourself a month or two to make things right again.
